Meifu-ten, Excellent Style Exhibit - Mid-January, in Nagoya

Every year, about 250 bonsai are displayed, 90% of them owned by hobbyists, but of very high quality.
About 30 trees get selected to also participate for the Kokufu-ten exhibition in Tokyo in early February.

This three-day exhibition attracts approximately 20,000 visitors.
Like many other major exhibits the bonsai are judged, selected, and photographed in the fall in order to have the photo album available for the January exhibition.
